Snow Days

So these first pictures are of the first snow storm that we had. We got about 8 inches at my house and about 18 inches at my parents and Kennidi really wanted to build a snowman, so up to Grandma and Grandpa's we go to build a snow man. First we put McKinlee is her snow outfit she looked so cute. Like a giant pink marshmallow.

McKinlee really did not like the snow. Although now every time we go out side and it is a little cold she always says "Hat" And puts her hand on her head.

The huge Snowman. Grandpa did have to help put on the second piece of the snow man. Daddy made it a little too big and couldn't lift it up. We gave Kennidi a carrot for the nose but by the time that they needed the nose we had to give her another carrot because she ate the first one.

These pictures are of the next snow storm that was bigger and came in a lot faster. Kristi, and Austin were with us that night. Out electricity went off for about 24 hours. So we were happy that Kristi and Austin were there to play games with us.

Austin decided that it would be fu to go and lay on the snow covered hammock. Yes that is him falling out of the hammock after Blake started throwing snowballs at him.

So Kennidi had her first dance class yesterday. She was very excited. It was so cute. Ever since I took Kennidi to go and see the Nutcracker she has been dancing ballet. This class that she is now doing the first half hour is tap and the second half hour is ballet. Before class started the teacher had all the little girls sit in a circle and she had everybody introduce themselves and then she went over the class rules. In the middle of explaining the rules Kennidi stands up in front of the class and says, "I can do ballet" and she stood up and started dancing her ballet. It was the cutest thing ever. So here are a few pictures from dance class.

Aunt Julie got Kennidi and Hayley this cute little snowman for Christmas for them to paint and to decorate. Kennidi had so much fun painting the snowman with Dad and then later after the glue had dried she and I hot glued the rest on. So here are pictures of the finished project.

Just a brief update

SO I have been so busy that I have not had time to update our blog. So here it is.

October,
The girls had so much for Kennidi's birthday party. We had a big party at my parents house and all of our friends came and we had a big barbecue. We played games and just had a good night. For Halloween Kennidi was Snow White, McKinlee was Cinderella, Blake was the Prince and I was Snow Whites Stepmother. They had so much fun downtown Grass Valley Trick or Treating. They were so cute

November,
In November we were so excited to have a beautiful Wedding. Kristi got married on November 17 in Carson City. She is so happy. And we just found out that she is pregnant and is due the middle of August. We love those Honeymoon babies. In case you don't know I am pregnant also due June 22. So it will be so much fun to have a baby with Kristi. The weekend of Kristi's wedding, here in Grass valley we had an enormous snow storm. It took us 4 hours to get from Carson City to Grass Valley. The night that we got back from the wedding, we decided to go up to my parents house to hang out with JEremy and Becca and Sean and Ashley because Sean and Ashley were leaving the next day. We get to my parents house and they have no power. Which is always fun. I have fond memories in tat house when the electricity goes out. Anyways after being there for 2 hours we notice that it had snowed about 8 inches. SO Blake had to put the chains back on our car to get home. So we are leaving we get 2 minutes down the road and come across a huge Oak tree that had fallen across the road. SO I call my Dad and he gets everybody loaded up in the Tahoe with chain saws to come and clean u the road. They had quit the team. Dad, Jeremy, Sea, Ashley and Austin. Then Blake and I were already there. It takes us about 10 minutes to clear the road. Blake and i continue our journey home and realize there is another tree in the road. But it is too late for us to stop so up and over the tree we go. That was an adventure in and of itself. We get home and realize that all the lights downtown including our house are out. The problem with our house being out f electricity is that we have electric heat, and there is no way we are making it back up the mountain to my parents house in our car. So we call my Dad and he comes down and gets us. On our way back up, we come across another tree in the road, so we call the house and the crew comes back down and gets the tree out of the road for us. Finally we make it back to my parents. The whole week was crazy. My parents didn't get electricity until 5 days later, but Jeremy's family was here and Tami cam up that week also for Thanksgiving, so during the days we had my family, Jeremy's family (50 and Tami's family (7) plus my parents(2) and Kristi came towards the end of the week (5) Needless to say, there were a lot of people in a small house. But it was fun. So that was November.

December,
Deccember was quit as eventful. Still busy but slower. Kennidi and McKinlee got to see Santa twice. The second time was at the ward Christmas party were Blake was Santa, Kennidi knew right away that it was Daddy, but we explaine to her that there are so many kids for Santa to see that he has helpers that helps him visit all the kids and that Daddy was one of his special helpers. She loved the idea that Daddy was Santa's special helper. That same night at the party the primary put on the Nativity, Kennidi towards the end got bored and stole baby Jesus from Mary and started to play with him. It was so funny. McKinlee on the other had hated Santa. We spent Christmas here and then we to Blake's family in Idaho for a week. We had a lot of fun. Kennidi had a lot of fun with her cousins out there.

Now it is January and we are back to our busy everyday lives. Mondays I teach 4 students piano lessons and then Kennidi is starting dance this Monday, Tuesdays I have 3 more piano lessons, Wednesdays and Thursdays I watch the Hamberlin boys, which is great, it gives Kennidi someone to play with besides always picking on McKinlee. Kennidi also has swim lessons on Thursdays, then Fridays are my only free week day. It is nice to have a day to rest.

4th of July

We went up to Tami's house this 4th of July, we had a lot of fun, and both girls surprisingly loved the fire works. Kennidi kept saying Mom I want more Boom Boom's and McKinlee was inthralled with the lights and colors. We love this park that we go to. There are not a lot of people and we have room to play wiffle ball, Volleyball, football. We have a great time every year.

Vacation with Smith's

This summer Blake's Mom and Sister's family came out to go on a family Vacation. We all went down to Santa Cruz and spent two nights there. We went to The Boardwalk and had fun on the beach and then on the way home we stopped in San Francisco and went to the pier. This was a lot of fun because nobody in his family had ever been to the places we went. After we got back, on of the nights we went over to my parents house and we had a weenie roast. Blake and his oldest nephew TJ had decided to wrestle. Blake wrestled in high school (10 yrs ago) but TJ is actively wrestling right now. And as you can see TJ won. Next Blake taught his nephew Reegan a few moves. In all we had a lot of fun.

The Zoo

A few weeks ago, David's family, Tami's family and a family friend, Shannon and her kids, all met us in Sacramento and we went to the Zoo for their kids' spring break. It was so much fun. First we went to the Zoo and got to see all the animals, Kennidi loved all of the animals except for the monkey's, well the chimpanzee's. She really didn't like them. We got to see all sorts of animals, Giraffe's, Lion's, Tiger's, Leopard's , a snow Leopard,a Hyena, all different kinds of birds and so on. So here are a few pictures of what we saw.

In the Zoo they had a little play/picnic area so we all went over there and played.

For some reason in the middle of all the playing, Kennidi got "sad". So she went behind a toy and sat down. When we went to talk to her this was the look on her face.

We had a lot of fun.

After the Zoo we went to Fairyland Park. Basically it is a big playground with a lot of toys, all based around fairytales. We loved it. Especially Kennidi.

Kennidi was so tired on the way home that she fell asleep before we got back on the freeway. Oh yeah , he also has a fishy in her mouth

The Last month and a half

So the last month and a half has been crazy. It all stared on January 26 at 3:30 A.M. McKinlee woke up with a 103.5 degree temperature. SO we call Kristi and my parents and Kristi comes down to stay with Kennidi. So we rush off to the Emergency room and after 3 and a half hours we find out that she has a double ear infection. so she goes on medication. Two weeks later Kennidi gets a fever and yeap, ear infections. So she goes on the same medication. That next week Kennidi gets allergies. Which isn't that big of a deal, she gets them all the time. That next weekend we got to Thomas and Tami's house and Nait and Kennidi are upstairs playing, I hear crying and Cheyanne calling my name. i up up stairs and Kennidi had hit her lip on the back of the couch and her tooth went straight through her bottom lip. Blood everywhere and a lot of crying. We take her down stairs to clean her up. And when she looks at my shirt with blood on it, she stops crying and looks and my and says, "Sorry Mom", it was so sweet. The rest of the day her lip is swollen and she keeps accidentally biting it. A week and a half after the. Kennidi and McKinlee are taking a bath, and I am sitting right there, and usually Kennidi likes to help me with McKinlee , so she has a little cup that she can pour on McKinlee's tummy. Well, she grabs a big cup and pours it on her head, and mcKinlee inhales some water. So for the next few hours we watch McKinlee and sure enough she starts throwing up, coughing and wheezing. So we rush her back to the emergency room. Luckily after only 2 hours we find out that she is ok. The doctors tell us to watch for more coughing and a fever. the next day, sure enough, more cough and a fever. So we take her over to Polly's and McKinlee has Pneumonia. My poor little baby. So she goes back on medication. She is doing well, but then a few nights ago, McKinlee throws up like every 5-7 min. For about an hour. It is ucky mucus. On top of the Pneumonia McKinlee gets a little stomach bug. Now McKinlee is feeling better and Kennidi's lip is almost healed. I sure hope that nothing else happens. And that was our last month and a half.

So much to talk about

I haven't updated anything in 3 months and there is so much to talk about. First we went to Idaho for Thanksgiving (I think i blogged about that). Two weeks later we went to LA for one of my really good friends weddings. It was beautiful. Fortunately we able to see Jason and Elsie while we were down there They where kind enough to watch the girls outside of the temple during the wedding.

When we got back from the wedding, Blake and I got to move into our brand new house. It is so nice owing your first home. You get to do what you want with the colors and you get to make it any way you want. Plus it is nice when your mortgage is cheaper then what you are paying for rent.
Next comes Christmas. We were in our new home and all of my side of the family got together. That is a total of 31 immediate family members. That is a lot. Don't worry we got pictures. Those will come later, they are still on my mom's computer. Christmas morning was a blast though. I got surprised by Blake, he got me Dyson Animal Ball Vacuum cleaner. You know that you are truly a stay at home mom when you get excited about appliances.

Our good friend Karen came and stayed with us for Christmas. We had a lot of fun.

For the ward Christmas party we had Santa come, and the only was we could get Kennidi to sit on his lap was to tell her that it was Grandpa, but she did it. The primary also put on The Nativity and the nursery kids were the animals. They were so cute. Kaydn and Kennidi were are wondering animals. Not surprised that they couldn't sit there the whole time.

We love seeing our cousins in Idaho. For Thanksgiving we went to Idaho and were able to stay with Jeremy for a few nights and with Lacey and Randy for the rest of the time. While we were at Jeremy's it snowed so all the kids and Blake went outside to play in the snow and hold Blake shovel the drive way. Kennidi had a lot of fun with Conrad and Tyler. Then we went to Lacey's house and she had so much fun playing with all those boys too. Kennidi was surrounded by all boy cousins this year, that's ok though she is used to it. Thank you so much to both families for letting us come and visit.

Karlyn loved having someone to play with but McKinlee wasn't a big fan of Karlyn trying to roll on her and grab her ear.

Halloween

So for Halloween we were a 50's family. I was able to make Kennidi, McKinlee and me, matching poodle skirts and made Blake a lettermen Sweater. We looked so cute. First, Friday morning we went downtown Grass Valley and we got to see Grandpa and Blake at the office. Blake was dressed up as a Gorilla and Kennidi wanted nothing to do with him. She really doesn't like masks, she kept hiding her face in our shoulders whenever somebody wearing a mask walked by. While we were there we ran into Coen, Becket and Summit. It was so cute to see all the little kids dressed up. Latter that night we went to the church for trunk or treat. We got lots of candy there and some delicious homemade rootbeer. Halloween was fun this year.

On September 27th, 2009 we blessed McKinlee Mae Smith. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful blessing. First off I want to say Thank You to everybody that came and supported my little family. We are so lucky to have so many family and friends around us.

We loved all the cupcakes . . . and so did everybody else.

Labor Day Weekend

For actual Labor Day, we went up to Meadwow Lake with David and Tami's families. They had been there all weekend but McKinlee is so new we didn't want to go. They had a blast that weekend. The day that we went up we hung out at the camp site and then we went swimming in the Lake. And as you can see Thomas and Nait went fishing. Nait is such a cute little fisherman.

We had a lot of fun playing in the water but all three little ones got worn out really fast. They were cold and tired and just need to cuddle.

Baby Update 4

SHE IS HERE!!!! McKinlee Mae Smith arrived at 11:44 p.m. August 12, 2009. She is so so so cute. So here is the story.

I was so worried to go back to the hospital when my contractions started coming harder on wednesday. I didn't want to be sent home again. So I waited until almost every contractions brought a few tears to my eyes, and Kristi and Mom said I had to go. So off we go to the hospital. We call Blake and tell hi to stay at work until we absolutely knew what was going on. They end up letting me stay. (Finally the time is here). Contractions are pretty strong but not as bad as what was coming. So I am doing rally good and they decide to let me go and sit in the Jacuzzi, which is fine by me. I love the Jacuzzi, it relaxes me and I feel so much better. 1 hour later I get out and go back to my room. Well contractions are coming harder and harder and more painful. So they give me some pain medication that gives me a little relief, but not a lot. Finally 6:00 p.m. rolls around and Dr. Dahle (who is on call) comes in to check on me and he tells me that I am just a little over 2 cm. AAAAHHHH!!!!!!! so he helps me along to a 4 and then breaks my water. 3.5 hours later I can finally have an intrathecal. YEAH!!!! No more pain. So I finally get some sleep and relax for a while and then 1.5 hours later, it starts wearing off. WHAT!!!! This is supposed to last 2-5 hours. So they come in to check me and I am so scared that this was going to be like Kennidi. But no!!! The nurse tells me I am complete. WHAT!!!! Whoo hoo, I dilated from a 4 to a 10 in an hour and a half and Dr. Goddard is on the way. I get to start pushing. I start pushing at 11:25 and at 11:44 she makes her appearance. It's over. And she is beautiful. Here are the pictures from beginning to end.

Baby Update 3

Well, yesterday afternoon I startedto have contractions aroun 3:30 pm that were 2 1/2 to 3 minutes apart and about 1 minute long. So we let those continue for a while and then at 7:30 pm, when I had a few contractions bring tears to my eyes, we decided to go to the hospital. We get there they hook me up, check me, I am still having strong conractions, and I am still at 2cm. So they decide to wait until 10:00 and check me again for any changes. 10:00 finally rolls around, they check me and nothing. So needless to say I am at home writing this update. This is so frusteration. I just want to have this baby. As of right now I am still have very close contractions, but not "strong" enough for the hospital. I am now on a little bed rest sort of thing, not super heavy, they just said to take it easy and not do to much. So I am headed to my Mom's so that she can take care of Kennidi and I can lay down. See you at the next update. Hopefully there will be a picture of a baby attached to it. But who knows.

Baby Update 2

Well, this morning, Allison and I went walking and about half way through the walk I felt a little "moisture" thinking it was nothing. I get home, and it wasn't nothing. So we called the Dr. and he told us to get to the hospital and get checked out. WEll I was there for about 45 min. and had only one contraction an it wasn't my water breaking. So they sent me home. Now I am having contractions about every 45 min to an hour. So the contractions are not close but they are there. Hopefully it will be soon. We'll keep you updated.

Baby update

Just a quick little update. I went to the Dr. yesterday and I was already two cm dialated. So this baby is coming soon. Woo hoo. The Dr. said I will probable be early. I was very excited about this 2 cm. because with Kennidi it took me 12 hours to get this far. I think this time my body is going, "Oh yeah, I remember this I can do it better this time." I sure hope so.

Ivey Family Reunion 2009

So we had a family reunion this last weekend. We first met Friday night at Aunt Di's house and we had dinner and played a few games. The next day (Which the pictures are from). We were able to rent a park at Lake Wildwood and we played in the water all day. Also that day some of us went down to Roseville for a cousins baptism. The ext day we went to church and their Jeremy and Becca blessed their little girl Karlyn. It was so nice that all of my family was able to come. Ashley came in from Georgia and Jeremy and Becca came in from Idaho. We had a very fun time with all of our brothers and sisters, our kids and all of our cousins. It was a great family reunion. When I have more pictures from other days I post them. But for now this is what I have.

Fathers Day

So for Fathers Day this year JoAnn decided to come in and surprise Blake. It was such a nice surprise for him to see her. Grandma Jo came in Wednesday night and got to stay with us until Monday morning. We were pretty busy that whole weekend but on Saturday we decided to go take a tour of Empire Mine. That was fun, I hadn't done that since 5th grade plus we got some cute pictures of us.
For Fathers Day we went over to my parents and had a big barbecue with My parents, Kristi, Ivey family and Wallace Family. We had a lot of fun. We are so glad that Grandma Jo got to come and visit us. We can't wait for the next time she visits. I know that some are hard to see the people but we really wanted the big house in the picture also.

Brooke's Graduation

More Camping

Memorial Weekend

Kristi and the kids, Tami, Thomas and their family, Stacy and her kids and Blake, Kennidi and I all went camping for this wonderful Memorial Weekend. We were originally going to go to Meadow Lake but when the Ford F-350 couldn't get through the snow to get to the Lake we decided that maybe we shouldn't try either. So we turned around and found a wonderful little camp site off of Jackson Meadow Lake. We had all of the tents up in a row and all the kids playing. We all thought "this is going to be a fun weekend" we didn;t expect the freezing cold nights, kids and dogs throwing up, dogs unzipping tents and getting out and freezing cold lakes. Even with all that we had a blast. It was Blake and My first time camping together. Kennidi got dirty and loved it, except when the dirt touched her hands. This was a great weekend.
It looks like Uncle Blake and Nait both had bad hair days. All this on the first morning. Looks like its going to get ugly.

Blake and Austin lead us on this beautiful hike. These water falls are gorgeous. Kennidi loved to be in the back pack with Daddy.

The Lake was really really cold, but that didn't bother Kinnidi. She loves the water. As you can see the lake was some of our bath times.

On our last night there we got a pleasant surprise by having Grandma and Grandpa show up. That was fun. Unfortunately that last night was the coldest night that we were there. Oh well it was a fun last night.

Camping sure does take a lot out of you. Kennidi fell asleep within 7 minutes of getting into the car to go home. She was reading her book one moment and she was out the next.

Our Anniversary

So this year for our anniversary. Three years, wow. Blake and I decided to go down to Southern California and try to get onto Th Price is Right. We got a cute hotel room right across the street from the studio. And the morning of our anniversary we got up at 4:30 in the morning to go and get in line. We were in line until 6:00a.m. That is when we got an Order of Arrival ticket. After this we got to go back to our room and got back to sleep. We had to be back at the studio at 12:30. Once we got back there was a lot of line waiting. I mean we waited in lines until they let us in at 4:00. They interviewed everybody in line in order to choose who will be selected to go up on stage. Unfortunately we were not chosen. But once we got in it was the smallest studio I had every seen. Tiny. You know how people run down the isle. Well, you could jump and you would be at the bottom. IT looks so much bigger and cleaner on T.V. We were in line so early that we got in the second row. Right on the end were the winners go up on stage. So every time a contestant goes on stage. There we are. Woohoo, we were yelling. And if we had gotten up on stage we would have won our prize. We won every single game that they put up there. We are so good at these games. Drew Carey is a very very funny man. The show is only an hour long show but the taping was 2 hours. So during all the down time he talked to us and told jokes. SO So funny.
After The Price is Right we walked around the block the The Grove and walked around for a while and then finally went to dinner at a cute Italian place So yummy. We then returned to our hotel so that we could get up and drive home the next morning. WE had to catch my parents before they went up to Reno so that I can hitch a ride. And Daddy wanted to see Kennidi because she stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while we were gone. Unfortunately when we got there Grandma and Kennidi were already in Reno and Grandpa was there without her. Blake was very upset. He didn't get to see her for a whole week.
This was one of the best anniversaries that we have had. We can't believer that it has already been tree years. It's amazing how much more I love hi year after year. I am so lucky to have a husband that is so great. Not only a great husband but a fantastic Daddy. I love you honey.

We found out that we are having another baby girl. We are so excited. Kennidi and going to have a little sister to play with. My original due date was August 27th, but this last ultra sound they said that according to her size the due date could possibly be August 22nd. So we will see. As soon as I scan the ultra sounds picture in I will add them to this post. YEAH!!!

This year for Easter
Friday night we all went to Aunt Tami's and ate dinner. We had one of my favorites. Spaghetti. Uncle David thought that it was so funny that I kept slurping my noodles so he started to feed me like a little birdie. That was fun. The saddest part was that Daddy had to stay home and DJ a wedding that day, so he wasn't able to come and play with us. We missed you Daddy!!

After dinner we colored all of the eggs. This was fun. Mommy bought special eggs for me to color that I put glitter on. They all turned out so pretty.

Saturday we all went to the park and had a big barbeque and we had a huge easter egg hunt. There were eggs everywhere. The easter bunny put a dollar in 20 eggs and one egg had a five dollar bill, so we all got some money. That was an extra bonus. Nait and I got a head start looking for eggs so we got a lot of eggs. We finally had a nice day. So we decided to go outside and play and Grandma and Grandpa's. We did a lot of stuff, first we fell down the hill as we were running after Austin and away from Kodi. Kodi thought that my baby was a toy and kept trying to take him from me. But I protected baby, I did get knocked down a few times, but baby was safe.

I love my Austin!!!!

Then we had a lot of fun on the slide with Aunt Kristi. She helped me go up and down the slide. It was a lot of fun.

WE finally had a beautiful Saturday to do some yard work. We pulled weekds from my flower garden, picked up the pine needles and played with Kennidi outside. She loves to be outside. She sure does love her daddy.

So today while Blake and I went to the Dr. Kennidi hung out with Aunt Kristi, Austin, and Brooke.

Kennidi helped Brooke separate the cans from the bottles for recycling. She really liked to help.

Kennidi tried really hard to get this wagon out of its resting spot. She had to go up a little hill and it was really hard. She tried and tried and tried then finally Aunt Kristi helped with a little push.

So Kennidi has now found the watering hole. Apparently she was thirsty and decided to quench her thirst with a sip in the rain water. Yum Yum Yum.

Jason and Elsie got married on November 15, 2008. The wedding was beautiful. They got married in the Sacramento, CA Temple. There were a lot of family and friends there it was a beautiful wedding. After the wedding we went back to the church and had the wedding reception. Which was absolutely gorgeous. Thank a lot to all the helpers with the reception. Mom, Aunt Donna, Julie, Kelsey, Aunt Di and I. It really turned out really beautiful. IT was so much fu because that night Annamarie, Lindsay Tisha and i were all there. Also, Alan, Nathan, Alex and of course Jason so it was lie having all of us friends together again. Although there were some missing, Adam and Heather. It was so wonderful to see everybody. During the reception Kelsey sang the most beautiful song for Jason and Elsie. She did such a wonderful job. There was a lot of dancing and a lot of fun. For example: When Jason took the guarder off of Elsie leg he danced around her to the song "Fever" and then took it off with his teeth. It was so cute. It was a wonderful night.

Halloween

First for Halloween we went downtown Grass valley to go Trick or Treating. Broc and Nait went with me. We had a lot of fun. And then later that night we went to Trunk or Treat at the church. We found a lot of friends there. We found Ronan who was a cowboy. And we found Summit who was a penguin. I just ran around all night long. Mommy was a witch and she turned Daddy into a toad.

Kennidi's 1st Birthday

Kennidi had a great first birthday. There were a lot of friends and family there to celebrate. This is a picture of her cake. Aunt Kristi decorated it for her. The second that we put Kennidi in the High Chair to eat the cake she knew that everybody was there for her. It was so funny. She looked up at everybody and smiled she loved having all that attention. And of course nobody minded to give it to her.

This is Kennidi digging into her cake. At first she went really slow and then once she started to taste the goodness she could not get enough of that cake.

Kennidi was so messy after eating the cake that we had to throw her into the bathtub to take off her clothes. Then we went right into PJ's and presents.

The very first present the she opened was from Aunt Tami, it was the adorable tutu and wand. She loved it she wore it all night long. She also got a lot of presents from Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Kristi gave her a picture book of her family. She got a little bike from Aunt Denise, Uncle Howard and Grandma Dixie. Grandma and Grandpa got her the coolest Baby Grand Piano. Grandma Joanne made her a great pillow blanket. Aunt Di got her the cutest little sweat suit. Thank you

On August 30th the whole family threw my Dad a surprise 60th birthday party. He actually turned 60 on Dec 12, 2007 but this was the only time that we were all going to be together, and plus he would have no idea. It was so much. There were a dew times throughout the week that we thought that we had blown the surprise. But Dad reassured us that he had no idea. It was great to see his face. Before we went home we went to The Bauer Mansion in Nevada. Such a cool story. Beautiful house and what amazing history. After that we met up with the rest of the family and we went to Virginia City we just walked around town and saw all the little historical sites and went the the old Grave yard that was so beautiful. So for my(Kennidi) first fourth of July we went to Aunt Tami's in Carson City. We had a lot of fun with all of our cousins. They played dodge ball. Grandpa bought all the kids toys. And then we got to see fireworks. I loved them, I stared at them in the sky while daddy held me. But before the big fireworks came out I thought that it would be best if my, my cousin and our friend Ava took a nap. So we slept for a while. And then we were ready to go again. It was so fun. I loved hanging out with Aunts and cousins.

Family Vacation

Blake and I also drove up the coast to the red woods. There we stopped at every little stop that we found. Took a lot of pictures. First we stopped at this place that a man had built a home out of a tree. Then we went through the tree and drove on top of the tree. Blake went into the smoking tree and we just saw huge trees everywhere. Kennidi did amazing but she really didn't like the rocking bear. Trust me we tried to get her to sit on it. But there was no way she would come close to that thing. We found this hilarious hat. But Kennidi was interested in it that she wouldn't hold still long enough to take a picture. The tree that Blake is crawling out of is the root system of a fallen Red wood it is huge. Here he is also standing on top of the tree.

Idaho Trip

Two weeks before Christmas we went to Idaho. Lacey had gunner blessed and T.J. got ordained to the office of a Deacon. It was also T.J.'s birthday. So uncle Blake took T.J. and Regan snowboarding. Also while we were there we were able to go and see Jeremy and Becca. It was so much fun. We were really lucky to be able to go and visit.

So Kennidi was blessed on Nov. 4 And I know that it has taken a long time to get the pictures up here but at least they are here now. Kennidi is such a lucky little girl. She had 15 men in her circle for the blessing. And Daddy did such a wonderful job with the blessing. Later that day we had a dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We had a total of 63 people there to support Kennidi. Thank you to everybody who was there for us.

So for Kennidi's first Halloween, Aunt Kristi found a little Ghost hat and matching socks. So Grandma made a little white cover, so she could be a little Ghost. It is so cute. My Baby

So I know that everybody has been so upset with me because there have been no postings of Kennidi. Just let me tell the story. On Sunday Sept. 30 I started contractions. Blake and I went to the hospital at about 4:00 pm, because the contractions were 4 minutes apart and coming fast. We get there and I am dialated to 1cm. That was very dissappointing. They decide to keep me at the hospital. Around night time( I really have no idea what time it was), the doctor, which was Dr. Goddard, decided to give me morphine because I wasn't relaxing in between contraction to dialate. So about 10:00 am the next morning after a long night of waking up to every contraction Dr. Goddard (Rich) decides to break my water, and by this time I was almost dialated to 3 cm, which is not okay with me because through all that pain all night, I deserved more. Anyways, so he breaks my water and we all decided that I will take pitocine, which helpscontractions stay consistant and helps me dialate. The only problem with that is that it makes contractions about 10x worse then they really are. So to compinsate for the pitocine they gave me an intrathecal, which numbs me from the waist down, but only for like 2 hours or so. So after the first intrathecal, Rich checks me and realizes that me cervix is behind Kennidi's head and all the contractig is really not helping. So he decides to try and pull my cervix forward. It is a good thing Iwas numb because by the sounds of it, I think that I would have killed him from the pain. Finally after the second intrathecal, I am finally dialated to 7 cm. Which is great, but also horrible, because I can no longer have any pain medicine and I have to dialate the reast of the time on my own. OH MY GOSH THE PAIN. 3 hours later I am barely at 9 cm. But I also feel like pushing, which would be hard pushing her out at only 9 cm. Finally I get to a 10, and I can finally start pushing. We thought that the baby would just pop out. Oh now. After an hour of pushing, having to use the vacuum and having an epesiotomy, she finally arrives at 9:51 pm Monday Oct. 1. Yeah that's right I was at the hospital in labor for 30 HOURS, that is not counting the 6 hours of contractions I was having before I went to the hospital. Woo hoo. It is amazing how after the baby is out, your whole personality changes back to being the nice person you were before you were pregnant. Once she is out, the nurses find that she has swallowed mecomium. She is amniotic fluid and baby poop. So the nurses are working hard to get all the gunk out of her lungs, and while Kennidi is trying to breath, she sucks in air so hard that she pops a hole in her lungs, so how there is air between her rib cage and her lungs. This problem will be fixed on its own. But for th fluid they have to immediatly put her on oxygen and start pumping her full of antibiotics. I didn't get to hold my baby until about 3:00 am. The doctors took blood test and they find a bacteria in her blood. So they give us the bad news that she will havet o be in the hospital for 7 more days. And I just started crying. But I finally calmed down because the nurses told me that I could stay at the hospital as a Boarding Mom. I can have a room as long as they didn't need one, I only got one meal a day. But I could stay with my baby. So I was okay with that. Then they do a test to see what kind of bacteria is in the blood, and they find that it is E-Coli. And they tell me that we are going to have to bet here for probably ten days. Which is longer, but I could still stay with her. the Dr. Reeder says that they have to do a Spinal Tap to make sure she didn't get meningitis from the E-Coli. So they do the spinal tap and they see that it is clear. But she still has E-Coli. We were then told that we could go home the next day and come back every morning for 2 weeks and she will get a shot evey morning to treat the bacteria. So we were excited that we didn't have to stay. the next day Dr. Reeder comes backa nd says that he feels the best thing to do for her is for her to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks and have an IV for her antibiotics that are better for her. I was devistated. 2 more weeks, and I break down again trying to fogure out how I am going to nurse, I am going to have to get a pump. A big mess, that's when the nurses tell me that they want me to stay there in the hospital with Kennidi for those 2 weeks. So we were in for a long haul. During the duration of our visit Kennidi had 5 different IV's. 2 in each foot and one in her hand. We were just glad that they never had to put the IV in her head. So as of 9:00 am on Monday Oct. 22. we were free of the hospital. Kennidi is doing great. No bacteria was shown in her blood. And Daddy is really happy that his girls are finally home.

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY REUNION!!!!!

So for the family reunion, Blake, Jennilyn, Brandonand I are were in charge of games. This is really fun. All of the Dad's and Grandpa's got Cheeze puffs all over their faces by their children and grandchildren. We all loved it. It also made a huge mess.

This was another one of the games. We split into groups and had a contest to see who could come up with the most creative costume out of paper bags and duct tape. All the gooups did a fabulous job. We've got Broc as Superman his famous line was " I'm small but mighty". Next we had Brooke our resident Queen, then there is Kassie and Nathaniel, as the Indian huntress and the deer. They had a lot of fun with that one. Last but not least we had Julie as the Carribean Princess.

On Friday, a few of us went to the hotel that some of the family stayed at. We had a lot of fun in Lake Tahoe. It was a beautiful day.

David and his family brought there Kyake, and everybody loved that. We actually had a dew people try the Karate Kid pose off of the front of the Kayake. Not very many people succeeded at this trick. As you can all see. Then we have found that we have quit a few beach babes. There's Broc our little indian on the beach. Here is Brooke our Baywatch beauty. Then there is Victoria, our little family model. We have such a beautiful family. We had a tragedy. As Austin was falling off the kayake, he hit a rock at the bottom of the lake and bruised his knee pretty good. But our injured soldier recovered fast and was up and playing quick.
